Yes, we are a week away from Thanksgiving, and this means that you’ve likely already ordered and hopefully received your holiday packaging for the season. However, we’ve been in the industry long enough to know that there is really never any such thing as a sure-thing when it comes to businesses and their needs. Unanticipated things happen at unexpected times.
Perhaps you ordered from overseas and are encountering lengthy delivery delays. Perhaps you’ve discovered you are in need of an additional size or solution for a product that had not been factored or accounted for. Or, sadly, we’ve seen it before, maybe you ordered from a supplier and are unhappy with the results they’ve delivered, be it print quality, board quality or something else. The good news is that despite this being the busiest time of year, our lead times have remained manageable, and depending on what you need, we may be able to help! Below are some varieties of custom packaging that we can deliver with a relatively quick turnaround if you are in a pinch.
Custom Printed Paper Mailer Envelopes
We have the ability to turnaround a first-time order for custom unpadded paper mailer envelopes in 2 weeks, or possibly less if needed for lower volume orders. The approval process for this product is relatively simple and quick, as we can generate a print proof within 24 hours IF you have artwork ready to go. Ideal for clothing, soft goods, t-shirts and other lightweight products, our paper mailers are durable and one of the most eco-friendly products available with 75% PCW and 100% recyclable content. The best feature of this product may in fact be the low minimum order quantity. We can customize by the case (200-500 mailers). If you are in need of higher volumes, please do reach out to us and we will let you know what the lead time will be, given the proper information (mailer size, artwork etc.).
Custom Printed Die Cut Mailers
While our standard lead times of 2-3 weeks still applies in most cases for any custom printed mailer box order, we do have a benefit of working with dozens of plants across the country, meaning we do have flexibility in terms of navigating the path to the shortest lead time available. For example, if you live on the east coast and need boxes in 2 weeks, it’s possible that we have a plant near your location that has machine availability with a short delivery time. Keep in mind that the best bet for fastest turnaround would be to use one of our existing cutting die sizes, as well as having your artwork and ink colors ready to supply us.
Custom Printed RSCs
One of the benefits of RSCs is that they do not require tooling, meaning you are already saving time in not waiting for a cutting die to arrive to the plant. It’s also important to note that die cut mailers and RSCs will run on different machines within the plant, meaning that a plant can be backed up for weeks with die cut orders, but may have availability on their machines that run RSCs. This could potentially allow for an order to squeeze into the schedule that otherwise would have to wait several weeks to get into the production timeline.
Custom Printed Tape
Upon the writing of this post, custom printed paper tape has a 2 week turnaround. The same applies here as with the other packaging products mentioned above, you will want to have your artwork ready to go, and there is a proof approval process, but if you have stock boxes you’re already using, custom paper tape may be a quick and easy solution for you to feature your branding on your packaging.
