Often times in this industry, demand dictates product availability. For a long time we steered clear of many wine, candle and glass bottle projects that were introduced to us by potential customers. Shipping wine and other glass products presents a number of challenges, the greatest of which involves balancing protection with presentation. However, after such high volume of inquiries and interest in a packaging solution to ship wine bottles (monthly wine club subscriptions have become very popular), we dedicated hours of design time and resources into developing a product to meet this high demand. As is true of all of our corrugated mailers and inserts, this product is 100% recyclable. You have the option of requesting 100% recycled content board as well, but keep in mind that this option may only be possible as a plain kraft mailer, or with simple flexographic graphics. If you plan to add digital or complex graphics to the mailer, it may not be feasible to use 100% recycled content board. However, the box and insert will always be made from a minimum of at least 40% recycled content board.
The 2 piece insert assembles without glue staples or tape, and the outer mailer closes with front-lock side tabs, though other custom closure options are available (you can read about those options here).
Our corrugated insert is not only a highly effective solution from a design perspective, it also eliminates the need for other void fill such as foam, molded pulp, bubble wrap or other less eco-friendly options typically used for protective shipping.
Pricing, Minimums and More Information
As of now, our minimum order quantity is 1,000 for the wine shipper mailer and insert, as it is only being offered as a custom item—although this may change over time pending the customer response to the product. As is true of all of our customer products, pricing will depend on the specifics of your requirements, including order quantity, board color, graphics and bottle dimensions.
